From challenge to action
Over the course of the project, eWAsTER brought together 10 partner organisations from 8 Mediterranean countries to promote more sustainable approaches to e-waste prevention, reuse, recycling and management.
The video takes viewers through the project’s key achievements, showcasing the three pilot actions developed and tested across the partner territories:
- WEEE BEHAVE – engaging schools, students and teachers in e-waste prevention and environmental awareness;
- WEEE REUSE – promoting repair, refurbishment and reuse while exploring new social and economic opportunities;
- WEEE PROCURE – supporting public authorities in integrating circular economy principles into public procurement.
Through images, key messages and highlights from the project implementation, the video demonstrates how local initiatives can contribute to broader environmental change across the Mediterranean.
More than a project — a shared commitment
The Final Project Video also captures the spirit of cooperation that has been at the heart of eWAsTER. Partners worked together across borders, sharing knowledge, testing innovative approaches and learning from each other’s experiences.
The project brought together public authorities, schools, businesses, experts and local communities, demonstrating the importance of collaboration in creating more sustainable consumption and waste-management practices.
From environmental education and community engagement to reuse initiatives and circular public procurement, eWAsTER has shown that e-waste is not simply a waste challenge — it can also be an opportunity to extend product lifetimes, support circular businesses, create new opportunities and protect natural resources.
A legacy for a more circular Mediterranean
As the project comes to an end, its knowledge, tools, experiences and partnerships provide a foundation for continued action beyond the project lifetime.
The Final Project Video brings this journey together in just a few minutes, offering an accessible introduction to the people, actions and achievements behind eWAsTER.
