The eWAsTER project is pleased to announce the publication of the official Final Conference Video, a 5-minute audiovisual summary capturing the highlights, achievements and reflections from the project’s concluding event held in Varna, Bulgaria, on 14 July 2026.
Hosted by the Union of Bulgarian Black Sea Local Authorities (UBBSLA) in cooperation with the Lead Partner PACT – Portugal, the final conference brought together project partners, public authorities, environmental experts, schools, businesses and other stakeholders from across the Mediterranean region to celebrate the results of 30 months of cooperation and innovation in the field of circular e-waste management.

The video offers a dynamic overview of the event, featuring key moments from the conference sessions, networking activities and presentations of the project’s main outcomes. It also includes interviews with several project partners, who share their experiences, challenges and lessons learned throughout the implementation of eWAsTER.
Through these personal reflections, the video highlights not only the technical achievements of the project, but also the value of transnational cooperation, mutual learning and long-term partnerships built during the project journey.
The conference showcased the results of the three pilot actions implemented across the partner territories:
- WEEE BEHAVE – promoting environmental awareness and e-waste prevention through education;
- WEEE REUSE – supporting repair, refurbishment and reuse practices;
- WEEE PROCURE – encouraging greener and more circular public procurement approaches.
Over the course of the project, eWAsTER demonstrated how local actions can contribute to a broader Mediterranean transition towards a circular economy, reducing the environmental impact of electronic waste while creating social and economic opportunities.
The newly released video serves as both a conference recap and a visual legacy of the project, presenting the collective efforts of the 10 partner organisations from 8 Mediterranean countries and their shared commitment to protecting natural resources and promoting sustainable consumption patterns.
The eWAsTER partnership extends its sincere thanks to all institutions, stakeholders, teachers, students, businesses and citizens who contributed to the success of the project and to the final event in Varna.
As the project concludes, its results, tools and experiences remain available to support future initiatives aimed at building a more circular, resilient and environmentally responsible Mediterranean region.
